We partnered with Ertech to deliver a comprehensive lighting upgrade at Port Hedland’s McGregor Field. The project involved installing KFS Sports lights to improve visibility and useability, achieving a 150 lux average. The upgrade enhances the field’s functionality for multiple sporting groups while ensuring compliance with Australian standards. Our team remained involved throughout the process to ensure a seamless execution and continued value for the Town of Port Hedland.

The Challenges
The field previously suffered from poor lighting conditions, an uneven playing surface and decreased usage, limiting its appeal to sporting groups. Additionally, it was crucial that the new lighting design met Australian standards, minimised obtrusive light and maximized lux levels to enhance safety and performance.
The Solution
To address these challenges, we installed our KFS Sports Lights, achieving optimal lighting performance with a 150 lux average, Our team made on-site visits to ensure lights were orientated correctly, maximizing the lux levels and ensuring the actual measured results matched the lighting design to ensure no obtrusive light and complying with Australian Standards.
This upgrade has significantly improved the field’s usability, allowing it to accommodate various sporting activities and in return fostering community engagement and promoting active lifestyles.
